Job Title – Solution Architect (Appian/OutSystems)

Job Location – Sydney

Employment Type – Contract/FTC

What Role You Will Play In Team Role Summary The Solution Architect will lead the end‑to‑end architectural design for a large-scale digital transformation platform, ensuring scalable, secure, high‑performing, and compliant solutions across digital underwriting, product configuration, pricing, and integration with core enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the overall solution architecture across Appian/OutSystems platforms, integrations, and data flows.
- Translate business requirements and epics into logical and physical solution architectures aligned to program scope and enterprise standards.
- Define integration patterns with core systems, underwriting engines, pricing services,



and downstream applications using event‑driven frameworks.
- Ensure all non-functional requirements—performance, scalability, resilience, availability, security, and regulatory compliance—are fully addressed.
- Provide architectural oversight to development teams; review solution designs, estimates, and implementation approaches.
- Collaborate closely with enterprise architecture, platform owners, program management, domain consulting, and IT teams to align with target‑state architecture.
- Support architectural discussions during RFP processes, solution walkthroughs, and senior‑level reviews.
- Proactively identify architectural risks, technical constraints, and design gaps; drive mitigation strategies early in the delivery lifecycle.
- Document the High‑Level Design (HLD) and Low‑Level Design (LLD), ensuring they meet enterprise standards and support the intended end‑state solution.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of experience in enterprise solution architecture, preferably within Life Insurance or BFSI environments.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in Appian and/or OutSystems platforms.
- Solid experience with API‑led architectures, microservices, and systems integration patterns.
- Good understanding of insurance domain concepts—underwriting, pricing, product configuration, policy administration, and related workflows.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
