Role Description The Solution Architect role is a contract, on-site position based in Melbourne, VIC. This role involves designing end-to-end solution architectures that align business requirements with modern technology stacks and AI-enabled capabilities.

The Solution

Architect collaborates closely with stakeholders, product teams, and engineers to define technical roadmaps, validate solution options, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and security practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating business needs into technical specifications, producing architecture diagrams and documentation, guiding implementation teams through design decisions, and overseeing solution integration and performance. The role also includes conducting technical assessments,



recommending improvements, and ensuring that delivered solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Alkemiz’s quality and security frameworks.

Qualifications

- Strong experience in solution and enterprise architecture, including designing end-to-end systems, integration patterns, and cloud-native solutions.
- Proficiency with modern cloud platforms and tools (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Boomi or equivalent iPaaS/ETL tools) and understanding of AI/ML-enabled architectures.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical designs, including documentation, diagrams, and implementation guidelines.
- Solid background in software engineering principles, APIs, microservices, data modeling, and security-by-design practices (ISO 27001 experience is an advantage).
- Experience leading cross-functional technical discussions, facilitating design workshops, and providing architectural guidance to development and DevOps teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in on-site environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior consulting experience is beneficial.
