Nick & Nora’s is a premium champagne and cocktail bar celebrated for its exceptional drinks and vibrant service. Our Parramatta location is seeking a Sous Chef to help lead a small kitchen team in delivering elevated bar snacks designed to complement our cocktail program.

As a high event volume venue during the Christmas season, we require someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can maintain our high standards of quality and creativity in the kitchen.

This role is ideal for a Sous Chef ready to step up into a leadership position and run a well organised kitchen without the complexity of a large team and menu.

About the role

Our kitchen focuses on high quality bar snacks and share plates that are prep driven with clean, consistent execution. You will lead a small team of two chefs below you, manage prep, ordering and service in a compact and efficient kitchen. This is a hands on leadership role where no job is too big or too small.

Key responsibilities

- Run the kitchen during service
- Lead and support a small team of back of house staff
- Manage prep and maintain consistency of dishes
- Order stock and maintain organisation of the kitchen
- Ensure food safety and kitchen standards are upheld




- Work closely with the floor team to support smooth service.

What we are looking for

- Strong Chef de Partie or Sous Chef expereince
- Organised, reliable and calm during busy service
- A chef who leads by example
- Comfortable working in a small, efficient kitchen
- Someone who takes pride in quality and consistency
- A team player who is willing to get stuck in and support the team

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their leadership skills while running a well organised kitchen.
