The Opportunity

RSGx is supporting our client to deliver a major urea manufacturing project in Western Australia. Once complete, the facility will be the largest in Australia and among the largest globally, incorporating industry-leading, more sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate around 2,000 jobs during construction and deliver lasting advantages to the local community through careers, training, and business opportunities

We are seeking qualified and experienced Special Class Welders. Previous experience working FIFO in Mining, Construction or Project based environments will be highly regarded.

Scope Of Work &

- Daily Duties

As a Welder Special Class, you'll play a key role in delivering critical construction works across the project, working to approved welding procedures, project specifications and stringent quality requirements.
- Perform high-quality and precision welding across project construction works.
- Carry out welding using relevant processes including FCAW, SMAW, GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG.
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy and other materials as required Perform coded and Special Class welding in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.
- Undertake pressure and pipe welding where required.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld maps, welding procedures and technical specifications.




- Work to approved WPS/PQR requirements and applicable welding standards Complete weld preparation, fit-up and welding to the required tolerances.
- Carry out visual inspection of completed welds and identify defects or non-conformances.
- Work alongside Boilermakers, Mechanical Fitters, Riggers and other construction trades.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity across the Project Ceres site.

What You Will Need

- Proven Special Class Welder experience with recognised qualifications/coding
- Strong coded welding experience, including pressure and/or pipe welding
- Experience with FCAW and SMAW
- GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG highly regarded
- Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel and alloys Ability to read WPS, fabrication drawings and technical documentation
- Proven ability to weld to strict quality standards and project specifications
- Experience working on major industrial construction, Oil &
- Gas, resources or infrastructure projects

- Ability to successfully complete project-specific welding tests
