**Are you passionate about GIS, digital mapping and spatial data? Do you enjoy using technology to solve real-world problems and deliver information that helps people make better decisions? Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking a motivated spatial professional to join our Engineering & Technology Branch and contribute to the delivery of innovative mapping and GIS services that support Queensland's transport network and communities.

In this role, you'll work with up-to-date GIS, web mapping and spatial information systems to develop, maintain and enhance a wide range of digital mapping products, services and datasets. You'll collect, analyse and interpret geospatial data, create high-quality maps and visualisations, develop web mapping applications and support enterprise spatial systems used across the department.

Working within a collaborative and highly skilled team, you'll help transform complex spatial information into accessible, reliable and engaging products that support planning, operations and strategic decision-making. You'll maintain geographic datasets, metadata and digital content, package and distribute spatial data and web services, and contribute to the continuous improvement of TMR's spatial technologies and information delivery capabilities.

We're looking for someone who can confidently apply GIS, web mapping and spatial technologies to deliver practical solutions and improve business outcomes. You will have experience working with spatial data, mapping systems and digital information products and be able to use GIS tools, spatial analysis techniques and scripting to develop, maintain and improve spatial services and workflows.





You will have a strong eye for cartography and visual communication, with the ability to produce high-quality maps, spatial visualisations and digital products that meet customer needs and departmental standards. Your analytical skills will enable you to source, validate, manage and interpret spatial data while ensuring accuracy, reliability and compliance with established standards and processes.

Success in this role also requires excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You will build productive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, actively listen to customer requirements, provide specialist spatial advice and collaborate effectively to deliver high-quality outcomes.
