Trinity Lutheran College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Speech and Drama Tutor to join our vibrant Performing Arts team.

We have a proud history of excellence in the Performing Arts, offering students a rich and diverse program designed to develop creativity, confidence and a lifelong appreciation of the arts. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with students from Year 1 through to Year 12, supporting performers at all stages of their development, from those discovering Speech and Drama for the first time through to students preparing for advanced examinations and performance opportunities.

Working alongside our passionate Performing Arts team, you will deliver engaging private, paired and group tuition, prepare students for external examinations and contribute to the College's broader Drama program.

About the Role

As our Speech and Drama Tutor, you will:

· Deliver engaging private, paired and group Speech and Drama tuition to students from Year 1 to Year 12.

· Support students to develop confidence, communication, performance skills and creativity.

· Prepare students for ASCA and/or Trinity College London examinations, from beginner through to advanced levels.

· Direct and support Drama ensembles as required, currently including Primary and Middle Years ensembles.

· Prepare students for performances, examinations and other College opportunities.

· Foster positive and encouraging relationships with students, families and colleagues.





· Contribute positively to the College's vibrant Performing Arts culture.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings energy, creativity and a genuine passion for developing young performers. You will ideally have:

· A qualification in Drama, Speech and Drama, Performing Arts or a related discipline, and/or demonstrated qualified experience in Speech and Drama tuition.

· Proven experience teaching students across a range of ages and ability levels.

· Experience preparing students for Drama and Speech exams, particularly ASCA and/or Trinity College

London.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build confidence and rapport with young people.

· Experience directing Drama ensembles or group performances will be highly regarded.

· A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider Performing Arts program.

· A commitment to supporting the Christian ethos, values and culture of Trinity Lutheran College.

· A current Blue Card or Queensland College of Teachers registration.

· A current ABN and appropriate Public Liability Insurance.
