New Graduate & Early Career Speech Pathologists we’d love to hear from you! At ProAACtive Speech Pathology, we’re passionate about creating meaningful communication opportunities for children and adults with disabilities and complex communication needs.

We focus on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), but you don’t need to be an AAC expert to join us. If you’re passionate about supporting people with disabilities, curious, and eager to learn, we can support you to develop your AAC skills and confidence.

We’re a small, supportive and fun team who share ideas, troubleshoot together and celebrate the wins, from a first button press to a shared joke or an unexpected “I did it!”

What will you learn?

With support from our team, you’ll develop the skills and confidence to:

- Identify when someone may benefit from AAC
- Complete AAC assessments and explore different communication systems and access methods
- Plan and run AAC and assistive technology trials
- Deliver fun, meaningful AAC intervention
- Support AAC use across everyday life, school and the community
- Collaborate with families, schools and multidisciplinary teams
- Prepare assistive technology recommendations and NDIS applications
- Support families through device approval, setup and implementation

Who are we looking for?

We’re less interested in how many years of experience you have and more interested in your passion for working with people with disabilities and your willingness to learn. You might be a great fit if you’re curious, collaborative, creative, comfortable asking questions and passionate about helping people communicate in the ways that work best for them.
