As a Youth Justice Community Support Services Shift Worker,you'll play an important role in supporting young people who are navigatingsome of life's most complex challenges. Working alongside young people involvedwith the youth justice system, you'll help create opportunities for greaterindependence, stronger community connections and positive futures. Throughmeaningful engagement, practical support and a strengths-based approach, you'llempower young people to develop life skills, participate in education andemployment, and build the resilience needed to thrive. Position Details

- Part time, fixed term position until 30 June 2027
- 0.6 FTE working 45.6 hours per fortnight
- $105,835 (pro-rata) p/a + Super + SalaryPackaging

What We’re Looking For

Wevalue individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles.To succeed in this position, you will have:

- Tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Community Welfare (Diploma or higher) or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Experience in case management or brief intervention support for vulnerable individuals and families, including engaging young people at risk and addressing challenging behaviours, using the Best Interests Case Management Framework.
- Strong understanding of trauma and the ability to apply trauma-informed approaches, conduct risk assessments, and develop effective individual or family plans
- Knowledge of Victorian Child Safe Standards, with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a child-protected organisation in practice and culture.
- Experience working with high-risk youth, particularly in youth offending contexts,



and applying Motivational Interviewing techniques for behaviour change is highly desirable.
