About the State Manager – NSW Role

We are seeking an experienced operational leader to move our largest state operation through an exciting period of growth and transformation. With COPE preparing to relocate to a purpose-built super site, this role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of our NSW/ACT operations, drive business performance and lead a large, diverse workforce through a significant change journey.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will be responsible for safety, operational excellence, financial performance, customer outcomes and people leadership across the NSW and ACT region.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead operational performance across NSW and ACT
- Drive safety, compliance and service excellence
- Manage profit and loss, budgets and cost control
- Develop and lead high-performing teams
- Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support workforce planning, succession and capability development
- Collaborate across the national network to achieve business objectives

About You





As an experienced operational leader with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to lead teams in a complex, fast-paced workplace, you will bring:

- Extensive senior leadership experience within transport, logistics, supply chain or a similar operational environment
- Proven profit and loss management and commercial accountability, ideally at state or multi-site level
- Proven success leading large teams and developing high-performing leaders.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs and operational performance
- A track record of driving change, continuous improvement and business growth.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across customers, suppliers and internal teams
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence
