Role Description The State Sales Manager is a full-time, role based in Sydney, responsible for driving growth and managing sales activities across the assigned state. This role includes developing and executing sales strategies for water treatment and hygiene solutions, managing key accounts, and building strong relationships with clients in sectors such as food and beverage, manufacturing, healthcare, and municipal water.

Manager will oversee the sales pipeline, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with technical and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include visiting customer sites,
identifying new business opportunities, providing product and solution presentations, forecasting sales performance, and reporting on market trends and competitor activity. The role also involves mentoring sales and service team members, maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards, and contributing to continuous improvement in sales processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in sales management and business development, including territory planning, pipeline management, and account growth.
- Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Experience in technical or industrial sales, preferably in water and wastewater treatment, engineering, hygiene, or related process industries.
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts, solutions, and compliance requirements to clients in clear and practical terms.
- Proven negotiation, contract management, and presentation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities on-site.
- Comfort with reporting, data analysis, and use of CRM tools to track performance and market activity.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience working across sectors such as food and beverage, manufacturing, healthcare, municipal water, or similar industries is highly regarded.
