LOCATION: Goldfields Hotel Motel, Tennant Creek NT

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

· Receive incoming deliveries of food, beverages, kegs, linen, cleaning chemicals and general operating supplies, checking goods against orders and invoices for quantity, condition and use-by dates.

· Report short deliveries, damaged goods or incorrect items to management and the relevant supplier.

· Unload, move and store goods safely in the dry store, cool room, freezer, bottle shop/beverage store, linen store and chemical store.

· Rotate stock on a first-in, first-out basis and monitor cool room and freezer temperatures in line with food-safety procedures.

· Issue and deliver stock to the kitchen, bar, housekeeping and maintenance areas as required and record stock movements accurately.

· Monitor stock levels, conduct or assist with stocktakes and advise management when items need reordering, taking account of regional freight lead times.

· Change and move beer kegs and gas cylinders and return empty kegs, crates and packaging for supplier collection.

· Keep storerooms, loading areas and shelving clean, orderly,



secure and free of pests and hazards.

· Follow workplace health and safety, manual-handling, chemical-storage and food-hygiene procedures, and report equipment faults or safety issues to management.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications: No formal qualification required; Certificate II or III in Supply Chain Operations (or Warehousing Operations) is desirable. Food-safety handler training (SITXFSA005) is required for handling food stores, or must be completed within the first month of employment. A High Risk Work Licence (LF – forklift) is required only if forklift use is part of the role.

Experience: Previous experience in a storeroom, warehouse, receiving dock or hospitality stores environment is desirable.

Skills:

· Receiving, checking and storing goods

· Stock control, rotation and stocktaking

· Protected manual handling, including kegs and bulk supplies

· Accurate record-keeping

· Organisation, reliability and teamwork

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
