Our client a well-established business located in Newcastle is seeking an experienced and reliable Storeperson / Forklift Operator to join their team.

This is a hands-on warehouse role responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, handling and dispatch of goods while supporting smooth day-to-day warehouse operations.

This position would suit someone with strong warehouse experience, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

- Receive, inspect and accurately store incoming goods
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders
- Safely load and unload trucks
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment in accordance with safety procedures
- Conduct stock control activities and inventory checks
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Assist with maintaining warehouse organisation and cleanliness
- Liaise with suppliers,



customers and internal departments regarding stock and warehouse matters
- Complete warehouse documentation accurately and on time
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

Your Profile

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse or storeperson role
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Robust understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management
- Ability to accurately receive, store and dispatch stock
- Experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Ideal candidates will also have:
- Experience with purchasing or inventory control systems
- Exposure to ERP or warehouse management software
- Previous experience within industrial, manufacturing, wholesale or distribution environments
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
