As a Stores Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our hotel teams have the products, equipment and supplies they need to deliver the exceptional service Crystalbrook is known for.

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Stores Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the hotel's daily operations by ensuring the efficient receiving, storage and distribution of goods across all departments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being organised, working as part of a team-oriented team and taking pride in maintaining high standards. You'll help keep our hotel running smoothly by managing stock accurately, supporting inventory control and ensuring every department has what they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Working closely with the Procurement team and all hotel departments, you'll contribute to a safe, efficient and well-organised back-of-house operation while supporting Crystalbrook's commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

- Receiving, checking and storing deliveries accurately and safely.
- Ensuring all goods are inspected for quality and matched against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records through the hotel's procurement and inventory systems.




- Delivering stock efficiently to departments across the hotel in line with requisitions.
- Assisting with stocktakes and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Maintaining clean, organised and secure storerooms, cool rooms, freezers and loading dock areas.
- Rotating stock to ensure product quality and minimise waste.
- Processing invoices and supporting procurement administration.
- Monitoring stock levels and communicating shortages to the Procurement Manager.
- Supporting workplace health and safety, food safety and security procedures.
- Working collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Leading by example to create a positive, collaborative and Customer Obsessed culture.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for a reliable, organised and proactive team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You'll bring

- Previous experience in stores, warehousing, stock control, logistics or inventory management is preferred.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence (essential).
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence using computer systems for inventory management and data entry.
- The ability to safely lift, carry and move stock throughout the hotel.
- Knowledge of food safety, stock rotation and storage practices is advantageous.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive working relationships across multiple departments.
- A strong work ethic, reliability and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety procedures.
