Our client has asked us to assist in the hiring process to engage a Structural Engineer. This is a full time position based in their Brisbane office. The company employs 150 people nationally and has a diverse portfolio of projects in Mining and Minerals processing, Energy and infrastructure.

Reporting to the Principal/ Lead Structural Engineer, your duties will include:

- Delivering structural steel design, concrete foundation and footing design, platform, walkway and stair design, and connection design and detailing in accordance with the AS 1170 loading series.
- Leading structural analysis and design activities using appropriate engineering principles and software tools, ensuring designs meet structural performance requirements, safety standards, and client specifications and Australian standards.
- Supporting and collaborate with other disciplines and designers to develop designs for a wide range of plant and infrastructure.

Skills and Experience should include:





- Tertiary qualification in Engineering and 5 + years' demonstrated experience in structural engineering within the mining and resources sector or related industrial industry.
- Practical experience in construction, commissioning, and/or operations in bulk materials and minerals processing industries is desirable
- Sound understanding of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and fabrication processes
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Space Gass.
- Experience across a range of commodity types including but not limited to iron ore, gold, copper and lithium is desirable.
- Familiarity with bulk materials handling infrastructure including conveyor structures, transfer stations, stockpile facilities, Chutes and Bins is highly desirable
