What you'll do

You'll teach a group of students content and application, and help them work through difficult questions:

- Teach – intuitively teach subject content to a full class of 8–20 students
- Coach – study skills and exam strategy
- Mentor – share your own experiences and form genuine connections
- Connect – build relationships that inspire students to keep going

For example, you might teach two classes on Monday and two on Tuesday (4:15–6:15pm and 6:45–8:45pm), plus two on Saturday morning (10:00am–12:00pm and 12:30–2:30pm).

What you'll bring

- Strong communication and a knack for making hard concepts click
- Knowledge of Mathematics at first-year university level or above
- A 99+ ATAR, and a 40+ raw study score in Maths Methods (highly desirable, not required)
- 6+ classes per week, committed across a full academic year (around 12+ hours weekly)
- Energy, empathy, and a desire to help students
- Alignment with Contour's mission (non-compete agreement required)

2. Submit a short video (10–15 minutes) of you tutoring with a sample workbook we provide
3. Attend an in-person interview, which includes a Q&A; and teaching a mock small-group class

One thing to know: all tutoring roles at Contour include a non-compete agreement. We heavily invest in your development as a tutor and ask for the same commitment to our mission in return. We'll walk you through the details before you sign any offer.
