About the Role The Student Learning Support Officer assists and supports the classroom teacher working under their direction. Applications are invited from qualified Student Learning Support Officers with a strong commitment to Christian Education. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our students enabling them to achieve their God-given potential.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with building an effective learning setting by working with teachers to support a differentiated curriculum that meets varying learning styles.
- Assist students with school routines and classroom activities.




- Assist with the implementation of the health care plans and individual education programs of students to support their engagement in learning activities.
- Provide individualised or small group instruction.
- Note: the classroom teachers are responsible for the education, control and behaviour management of the students.

Selection Criteria The ideal candidate will:

- Affirm a personal belief in the school’s Statement of Faith, as well as active involvement within their local church;

- Hold a Certificate III in Education Support (or be actively working towards this qualification).
- Hold a Working With Children Check (or be willing to obtain).
- Display high-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team.
