Dance Construct | Darwin, NT

Dance Construct is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and versatile person to join our team as a Full-Time Dance Teacher & Studio Administrator in 2027!

This is a varied position consisting of approximately 60% teaching and 40% administration. It would suit someone who loves teaching dance but also enjoys organisation, communicating with families and being involved in the wider running of a studio.

About the Role

The teaching component will involve working with students across a range of ages and abilities, from our youngest preschool dancers through to teens and adults.

Key responsibilities

- Planning and delivering engaging dance classes
- Teaching students across different ages and ability levels
- Creating choreography
- Preparing students for performances
- Assisting with concerts, rehearsals, competitions and studio events
- Providing a safe, positive and encouraging class setting
- Responding to enrolment enquiries
- Communicating with students and families
- Assisting with enrolments and account enquiries
- Maintaining student records and class rolls

About you

- Previous dance teaching experience
- Confident working with all ages, from preschoolers through to adults
- Ability to teach multiple dance styles
- Friendly, reliable,



organised and approachable
- Communicates well with children, parents and other staff
- Comfortable completing general administration tasks
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Confident using email, computers and online systems
- Availability to teach on Saturdays
- Right to work in Australia

Required qualifications and clearances

- Current NT Working with Children Clearance/Ochre Card, or willingness to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these

Desirable

- Experience teaching multiple dance styles
- Dance qualifications or teaching certifications
- Previous administration or customer-service experience
- Choreography and performance preparation experience
- Experience working within a dance studio
