About Glenny Kebabs

Glenny Kebabs is a Melbourne-based, multi-site hospitality business operating seven locations.

We are offering a supervised vocational placement for a student who would like practical exposure to multi-site hospitality operations. The placement is designed to complement formal studies in business, hospitality, management or a related field.

This is an unpaid student placement and must be approved or recognised by the applicant’s university, TAFE or registered education provider.

About the Placement The successful student will shadow members of our Area Management team during selected Head Office activities and store visits.

The placement is focused on observation, structured learning and professional development. Students will not replace paid employees, hold responsibility for store operations or be expected to perform unsupervised productive work.

Learning Areas

Depending on the student’s course requirements and learning objectives, the placement may provide supervised exposure to:

- Multi-site hospitality management
- Store-visit planning and observation
- Store presentation and operational standards
- Food-safety and compliance systems
- Inventory, ordering and wastage processes
- Rostering and labour-management principles
- Sales and store-performance reporting
- Speed of service and customer experience
- Delivery-platform performance
- Customer-feedback investigation processes
- Store-manager coaching and leadership
- Promotion and procedure implementation
- Operational problem-solving
- Head Office support systems

Students may complete supervised learning exercises, reflections or reports connected to their course requirements. Any activities will be undertaken for educational purposes and reviewed by their placement supervisor.

Eligibility

Applicants must

- Be currently enrolled in a relevant university, TAFE or registered training course
- Require or be eligible to complete a vocational placement as part of that course




- Be able to provide placement documentation from their education provider
- Have appropriate insurance arranged through their education provider
- Be interested in hospitality, operations or multi-site management
- Be reliable, professional and willing to learn
- Be comfortable observing operations in a rapid-paced environment
- Maintain confidentiality
- Be available on at least one weekday between Monday and Friday
- Be able to travel between Glenny Kebabs locations when required

Previous hospitality or management experience is not required.

Placement Structure

- Unpaid vocational placement
- Supervised by the Glenny Kebabs Area Management team
- Conducted across Head Office and selected Melbourne store locations
- Schedule and duration arranged according to course requirements
- Learning objectives agreed upon with the student and education provider before commencement
- Placement paperwork must be completed before the student commences

Selected applicants will receive a short questionnaire. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to attend an informal meeting before placement arrangements are discussed with their education provider. Work location: In person across Glenny Kebabs Head Office and store locations

Pay: $52,880.00 – $121,566.26 per year
