The Opportunity

This is TradeVantage's first Subcontractor Manager role—a foundational hire responsible for onboarding, auditing, and supporting trade contractors across Australia. You will be keeping the network safe, compliant, and reliable for every client business that relies on TradeVantage.

This role is based in our Eastern Suburbs office with some interstate travel required from time to time. You will be required to visit sites around Victoria so must have a driver's licence.

What You'll Do

Your daily focus will include:

- End-to-End Onboarding: Manage the initial contractor pipeline, ensuring every trade partner meets strict licensing, insurance, and compliance benchmarks before engagement.
- Relationship Management: Act as the primary, trusted point of contact to build strong, lasting partnerships with our trades.
- Training & Engagement: Deliver transparent communication and training to keep our contractor network safe, compliant, and highly engaged.
- Quality Assurance & Audits: Conduct regular site visits and quality audits, managing contractor performance against agreed KPIs and service levels.
- Compliance Maintenance: Oversee contractor currency—including licensing, insurance,



and inductions—within TradeVantage's digital systems.
- Process Optimisation: Continuously improve and scale our onboarding and compliance workflows as the national network grows.
- Leadership Reporting: Provide data-driven insights on network growth, compliance status, and pipeline health directly to leadership.

About You We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and loves building things from scratch. Ideally, you bring:

- Relevant Experience: A background in trade or contractor management, blue-collar recruitment, or health, safety, and compliance (HSE).
- Industry Knowledge: A trade qualification (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry) is highly regarded, though not essential.
- Tech Savvy: Confidence managing compliance systems, databases, and digital contractor platforms.
- People Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Execution Focus: Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and a changing workload.
- Autonomy: Comfort working independently and design systems and processes where none currently exist.
- Mobility: A current, valid driver's licence and a genuine willingness to travel nationally as required.
