Primary Building Group Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Carpenter / Handyman subcontractor to join our team for an initial three-month period, with the opportunity for regular ongoing work for the right person.

We work across a range of strata, residential and commercial properties throughout Sydney, carrying out maintenance, repairs, renovations and general building works.

The Role

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced carpenter or all-round tradesperson who is comfortable working independently across a variety of jobs.

Work will include

- General carpentry and building repairs
- Doors, locks, handles and hardware
- Skirting, architraves and timber repairs
- Minor wall and ceiling repairs
- General property maintenance and handyman work
- Minor renovation and alteration works
- Defect and repair works
- Assisting with larger renovation and building projects when required
- Attending occupied residential, strata and commercial properties

Jobs will vary from smaller maintenance and repair works through to assisting with larger projects.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

- Has solid carpentry and general building/maintenance experience
- Can confidently complete jobs independently




- Has good problem-solving skills
- Produces clean, professional-quality work
- Is reliable and communicates well
- Is comfortable dealing professionally with clients, residents, strata managers and other trades
- Can provide photos and updates on completed work
- Takes pride in their work and leaves sites clean and tidy

Requirements

Applicants should have

- ABN and ability to work as a subcontractor
- Own vehicle and tools
- Relevant carpentry/trade experience
- Current driver's licence
- White Card
- Appropriate insurances
- Valuable communication skills
- Ability to work throughout the Sydney area

What We Offer

This will initially be a three-month subcontractor engagement.

We have a consistent pipeline of maintenance, repair and renovation work, and for someone who performs well, is reliable and works well with our team, there is the opportunity for ongoing and regular work beyond the initial three months.

We're looking to build a long-term working relationship with the right person rather than simply fill a short-term position.

Pay: $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 38.0 per week
