The Role

We are seeking an experienced Supervising Senior Accountant to join our Business Services & Tax division. This is a pivotal role bridging technical delivery and team leadership — you'll manage a portfolio of clients directly while supervising and mentoring junior staff, ensuring high-quality outcomes and supporting the growth of the broader team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, including SMEs, trusts, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals
- Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS/IAS, and FBT returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
- Provide tax planning and compliance advice, including structuring, Division 7A, CGT, and small business concessions
- Supervise, review, and mentor Graduate and Intermediate accountants, providing technical guidance and on-the-job training
- Manage client relationships,



acting as a key point of contact and building trusted advisor status
- Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on client matters
- Monitor job budgets, WIP, and billing to ensure profitability and timely delivery
- Contribute to the development of internal processes, training materials, and technical resources
- Support Managers and Partners with special projects, advisory engagements, and business development initiatives

About You
- CA or CPA qualified (or final stages of completion)
- Minimum 4–6 years' experience in a public practice/chartered accounting environment
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax law, accounting standards, and compliance obligations
- Proven experience reviewing the work of junior team members
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and/or CAS360; experience with tax software (e.g. HandiTax, CCH) highly regarded
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines across a client portfolio
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine interest in developing others
