- Position Brief - Supervisor Carpentry

About the team Community Facilities Maintenance is a service provider for the City’s Asset managers providing all carpentry maintenance and minor installations when requested. The goal of the Carpentry Team is to add value to the City, maintain City assets at a high level, and provide a detailed level of service that is professional and efficient.

About the role The Supervisor Carpentry is responsible for supervising repairs and maintenance activities across carpentry, joinery, concreting and bricklaying functions to ensure the safe, compliant, cost-effective and timely delivery of works within approved budgets and service standards.

This position coordinates daily maintenance operations, allocates resources, manages contractors and works programs, and provides specialist technical advice to support the maintenance of a diverse range of infrastructure assets.

The role leads and develops team members, monitors performance and compliance requirements, and works collaboratively with internal stakeholders, contractors and community members to achieve high-quality maintenance outcomes and customer service standards.

We’re looking for people who have:

- Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery (Mandatory)
- C Class Drivers Licence (Unrestricted) (Mandatory)
- General Construction Induction Card (White) (Mandatory)
- QBCC Supervisors Licence (Mandatory)
- Builders Licence is highly regarded
- Qualifications related to Leadership and Management, or relevant equivalent knowledge and experience




- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, both internal and external
- Excellent communication skills
- An ability to participate in an on-call roster and respond to emergency call-outs as required
