Avolta is looking for a reliable and motivated Shift Supervisor to join our Hungry Jack’s team at Gold Coast Airport.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take responsibility for the restaurant during your shift, lead the team on the floor and support the Restaurant Manager with day-to-day operations.

You'll be working in the unique environment of Gold Coast Airport, surrounded by travellers and holidaymakers in a fully air-conditioned workplace.

Position Overview

As a Shift Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to run a safe, efficient and successful shift. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you'll ensure the team is organised, customers are served efficiently and Hungry Jack’s operational and brand standards are maintained throughout the day.

Key Accountabilities

- Supervising and coordinating team members during your shift
- Allocating positions and adjusting team deployment according to trade
- Leading the team through busy service periods
- Ensuring the restaurant opens and closes correctly when rostered
- Maintaining high standards of customer service, food quality and speed of service
- Supporting both Front of House and Back of House operations
- Ensuring food safety, hygiene, cleaning and workplace procedures are followed
- Monitoring stock and product availability during your shift
- Supporting cash handling and daily operational procedures




- Managing breaks and maintaining appropriate coverage
- Coaching and supporting team members on shift
- Responding to customer concerns and operational issues
- Escalating significant issues to the Restaurant Manager when required
- Assisting the Restaurant Manager with the overall performance and standards of the restaurant

This is a hands-on position. You'll be expected to lead from within the operation, serving customers, supporting the kitchen and stepping in wherever your team needs you.

Experience and Specific Requirements

We're looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of a shift while working closely with the Restaurant Manager to deliver strong operational and customer service outcomes.

- Experience in Hungry Jack’s, QSR, fast food, or a similar high-volume hospitality environment
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Shift Manager, Team Leader, or Senior Crew Member
- Confidence supervising, directing and supporting a team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods
- A sound understanding of food safety, cleanliness and operational standards
- A hands-on leadership style with a willingness to lead by example
- Strong reliability, accountability and punctuality
- A positive attitude and passion for coaching and developing others
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster,



including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Hungry Jack’s experience is highly regarded but not essential. Experienced Crew Members and Team Leaders looking to take the next step into shift supervision are encouraged to apply. Hours & Availability

Our Hungry Jack’s operation at Gold Coast Airport operates 7 days a week across early morning, day, evening, weekend and public holiday shifts (between 3:00am and 10:00pm). Flexibility is important, and reliable transport to and from the airport is essential. Successful applicants must also meet relevant airport security and access requirements.

Pay & Conditions

This position is classified as Level 3 under the Fast Food Industry Award, with applicable penalty rates, allowances and employment conditions.
