About the role An exciting opportunity is available for a Retail Supervisor to support the leadership of our Bunbury store team. You will work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales results, deliver exceptional customer service and help build a cohesive team culture. This is a hands-on role covering sales, stock, merchandising and daily store operations, and you will step in as the senior person in charge when the Store Manager is away.

You will also work closely with the warehouse to support receiving, dispatch and customer deliveries.

Key responsibilities

- Lead by example on the sales floor with sleep consultations and product advice
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints about goods and services, including delivery issues, warranty claims and after-sales follow-up
- Plan and prepare weekly work schedules and assign staff across the sales floor, warehouse and deliveries
- Support warehouse operations and assist with customer deliveries as required
- Support the interviewing, hiring, training, evaluation and development of staff, and help resolve staff grievances
- Instruct staff on how to handle complex sales procedures, such as finance applications, custom and special orders and large multi-item sales
- Examine returned goods and decide on appropriate action, including comfort exchanges, warranty claims and damaged stock
- Take inventory of goods for sale and order new stock, including raising and tracking purchase orders with suppliers and following up on back orders




- Ensure goods and services are correctly priced and displayed, including setting up promotions, sale events, ticketing and showroom displays
- Ensure safety and security procedures are enforced, including safe manual handling, forklift operation and store opening and closing procedures

About you

- At least 1 year of retail sales experience or similar, supervisory experience highly regarded
- Current WA driver's licence and current forklift licence (LF High Risk Work Licence)
- Strong customer service, communication and leadership skills
- Confident using POS systems and processing sales orders and purchase orders
- Available to work weekends and public holidays
- Physically able to handle bulky stock such as mattresses and furniture (with correct manual handling)
- Experience in furniture, bedding or big-ticket retail highly regarded
- Certificate III or IV in Retail or similar highly regarded
