/n Surgery Vet Nurse | Part-time or Full-time hours /n The Animal Referral Hospital Canberra is a leading provider of specialist veterinary care in the Canberra region. We are dedicated to providing exceptional medical services to pets and their families, offering advanced treatments and compassionate care. /n We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Surgery Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary nursing with a specific focus on surgical procedures. /n This position is available either Part-time or Full-time and offers the opportunity to work alongside leading veterinary specialists and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care! /n Key Responsibilities: /n /n

- Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care

/n

- Maintaining surgical suites and equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality

/n

- Providing support in anesthesia administration and monitoring

/n

- Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes in condition

/n

- Providing compassionate care to patients and their families, offering education and support as needed

/n

- Collaborating with other members of the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care

/n /n Requirements:

- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification

/n

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary nursing role, with a focus on surgical procedures

/n

- Strong knowledge of surgical nursing techniques and protocols

/n

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

/n

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workplace

/n

- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their caregivers

- Willingness to be on-call for emergency specialised surgical procedures
