An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated Visual Art Teacher to join Newcastle Grammar School for a Term 1 long service leave position. This temporary contract offers the prospect to make a meaningful impact in a well-established and supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

- Teach Visual Arts across secondary year levels (Years 7-12)
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned lessons
- Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Encourage artistic exploration through a variety of media, techniques and creative practices
- Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback to support growth and achievement
- Participate in faculty planning, school events and the broader life of the school

About you

- Valid Working with Children Check (essential)
- Aligned with the School's values and mission of providing outstanding education to students
- Formal teaching qualifications and at least 2 years' experience teaching Visual Art up to senior levels
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, and parents
