An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced individual who has a passion in the parks and gardens maintenance field.

The Horticultural Equipment Operator reports directly to the Supervisor Parks Maintenance and is responsible for maintenance of Council facilities and open spaces including tree planting, landscaping, mowing and bushland maintenance of parks, gardens, reserves, roadsides, road medians and paths and gardens on Councils Parks and Facility maintenance programs(an ongoing cyclical program.)

To be successful you will need:

- Year 10 or 11 certificate 3 in Horticulture desirable but not a requirement,



Basic Vocational training or equivalent in experience.
- Working with Children Check ID Card - must be current.
- Demonstrated experience in horticultural maintenance especially mowing or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of high-profile gardens and lawn areas.
- Demonstrated experience in the safe operation and maintenance of specialised horticultural equipment - Ride on mowers and Tractors.
- Demonstrated experience in weed management.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external stake holders i.e., management, employees, external stake holders, general public and service authorities.
