Eneraque is looking for a practical Electrical and Controls Engineer to take ownership of the electrical, controls and protection scope across our projects.

You will work from detailed design through workshop integration, factory testing, site commissioning and handover. This is not a desk-only engineering role.

Our work includes generator packages, HV and LV systems, generator protection and control, modular switchrooms, fuel systems and associated automation. You will work closely with Engineering, Projects, Operations and the Workshop to make sure systems are secure, buildable, tested properly and ready to perform on site.

You will be responsible for:

- Designing HV, LV, protection, control, instrumentation and automation systems.

- Preparing drawings, specifications, functional descriptions, I/O lists, test procedures and engineering documentation.

- Supporting generator synchronising, protection and control integration, including HV switchboards, transformers and modular switchrooms.

- Configuring, integrating and troubleshooting generator‑control, protection, PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.

- Supporting workshop integration, factory acceptance testing, site commissioning, fault finding and technical handover.

- Identifying technical, programme and safety risks early and driving practical solutions.

- Working with workshop teams, Project Managers, suppliers, contractors and clients to keep delivery moving.

- Improving Eneraque’s electrical and controls standards through lessons learned from testing and commissioning.

About You

You are a hands‑on Electrical and Controls Engineer who understands that a good design must also be safe, compliant, practical to build and ready to commission.

You will have:

- A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.

- Experience designing, testing and commissioning electrical and controls systems in power generation,



critical infrastructure, industrial energy or a similar environment.

- Practical experience across HV and LV electrical systems, protection, generator control and industrial automation.

- Strong technical documentation, fault‑finding and problem‑solving capability.

- The ability to work effectively across office, workshop and site environments.

- Clear communication skills and the discipline to manage competing priorities.

- Flexibility to travel within Australia and Recent Zealand when projects require it.

The following will be highly regarded:

- RPEQ registration or eligibility to obtain registration.

- Experience with generator protection, synchronising, HV switchboards, transformers or modular switchrooms.

- Experience in data centres, remote power, critical power, fuel systems or waste‑to‑energy projects.

- Experience with ComAp generator controllers, Allen‑Bradley PLCs or equivalent platforms.

- Hazardous‑area knowledge, an electrical trade qualification or strong field commissioning experience.
