This Senior Accountant role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, audit coordination, reconciliations and month-end activities within a energetic finance team. This contract position offers a role to apply your accounting expertise with a fast-paced, top tier brand.

Description

- Manage and process financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and statutory financial statements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations and internal controls.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
- Respond to queries relating to financial data, reporting and finance processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.

Profile

- CA/CPA qualified.
- Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or Senior Accountant position.
- Strong financial reporting and reconciliation experience.




- Demonstrated exposure to month-end and year-end close processes.
- Experience liaising with external auditors and managing audit requirements.
- Sound understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business.
- Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative finance team.
