Transformation Program Lead - Higher Education Location: Sydney, Hybrid Duration: Until EOCY, high likelihood of extension Rate: Highly Competitive Start: ASAPAn experienced Transformation Program Lead is required to lead the next phase of a complex, multi-year Workforce Management transformation.
This is an HR-led transformation program, focused on creating an integrated approach to workforce planning, workload allocation, scheduling, time and attendance, system integration and compliance assurance. Technology and data will enable the program, but its wider purpose is to establish standardised workforce practices and a sustainable workforce management operating model across a large, federated organisation.
The role
You will own the integrated program plan and coordinate delivery across HR, technology, data, integration, change and operational work streams. Central to the role will be translating HR strategy, policy and compliance requirements into an operating model supported by integrated WFM technology and data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the integrated WFM delivery roadmap across functional, technical and operating model work streams
- Managing delivery sequencing, milestones, dependencies, risks and escalations
- Driving improvements across workforce planning, workload allocation, scheduling, time capture and compliance processes
- Coordinating dependencies across HR, payroll, scheduling, finance and related enterprise systems
- Leading WFM technology procurement, market engagement, vendor evaluation, commercial negotiation and onboarding
- Managing WFM technology vendors and System Integration partners against contractual, financial and delivery commitments
- Overseeing program budgeting, forecasting, cost control,
governance and executive reporting
- Working with HR and change stakeholders to embed new workforce processes and practices
- Supporting the transition of workforce management capabilities into sustainable business ownership
About you
You will be a senior program leader with proven experience delivering enterprise Workforce Management technology and operating model transformation within a large, complex organisation.
Your background will include:
- Significant senior program management experience delivering enterprise WFM implementations
- Experience leading WFM operating model and process transformation
- Delivery of phased, multi-year workforce transformation across multiple operational groups or organisational units
- Robust experience across enterprise data, integration and platform transformation
- Leadership of enterprise technology procurement and vendor selection
- Commercial and negotiation capability covering contract structure and vendor performance
- Management of System Integrators and multivendor technology delivery
- Experience managing program budgets and financial controls
- Knowledge of Australian employment frameworks, industrial relations obligations and workforce compliance requirements
- The ability to influence senior business, HR, technical and vendor stakeholders
Knowledge of relevant HR and WFM platforms such as Workday, UKG and Ascender is valuable. Experience within higher education, the public sector or another complex, federated organisation will be highly regarded.
