We specialise in a wide range of grocery, frozen fish, frozen vegetables, spices, snacks, rice, pastry and other food products sourced primarily from Bangladesh, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, Vietnam and some other countries. We supply retail outlets, restaurants and hotels across Australia.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated In-House Accountant (General) to join our team at our Revesby office. This is an excellent chance for an accountant who enjoys a hands-on role and wants to take responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of a growing Australian business.

About the Role Reporting to management, the Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's day-to-day accounting functions and ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial records. This is a hands-on general accounting position suited to someone who is organised, detail-

oriented and comfortable working independently while also working closely with management and other departments.

Key Responsibilities •Manage and maintain the company’s accounting functions, accounting systems and financial records. •Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. •Manage and review accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including supplier and customer account reconciliations. •Review financial transactions and supporting accounting records to ensure accuracy, appropriate classification and compliance with company policies. •Perform bank and account reconciliations. •Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable and working-capital requirements, and provide relevant financial information to management. •Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports and management accounts for management review.



•Assist with month-end and year-end financial procedures. •Prepare BAS, GST and other relevant taxation requirements. •Assist with payroll processing and related accounting records. •Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are correctly recorded. •Monitor cash flow, expenses and business expenditure. •Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies. •Assist with inventory and stock-related accounting and reconciliations. •Work closely with warehouse, sales and management teams to ensure accurate financial information. •Assist management with the preparation of budgets, cash-flow forecasts and financial projections, and analyse actual performance against budget. •Maintain and review accounting procedures and internal financial controls to ensure the accuracy, integrity and reliability of financial information. •Assist external accountants and auditors with required information and documentation. •Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records. •Identify accounting discrepancies and investigate and resolve issues promptly. •Ensure accounting practices comply with Australian accounting and taxation requirements. •Provide financial information and analysis to management to support business decisions. Perform other accounting, financial reporting and commercially related duties reasonably associated with the position.

About You The successful candidate will ideally have: •Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.



•At least 2 years of previous experience in a general accounting or accountant role. •Experience in preparing and analysing financial reports, management accounts and financial statements. •Strong knowledge of Australian accounting practices and GST. •Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations. •Experience with budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, financial analysis and monitoring business performance. •Experience preparing BAS and assisting with tax compliance. •Good understanding of payroll and superannuation processes. •Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software. •Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. •Strong organisational and time-management skills. •Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. •Good communication and interpersonal skills. •Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial and business information. •A practical, hands-on approach to accounting. •Experience in wholesale, importing, distribution, FMCG or food-related businesses would be highly regarded.
