Your recent company An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Accounts Payable Officers to join a Queensland Government team during a major finance transformation project. As part of the transition to SAP S/4HANA and the return of finance and procurement functions to individual departments, several temporary positions have become available to support business operations through this period of change.
Your new role
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for supporting high-volume transactional finance activities and ensuring the efficient processing of accounts payable functions. Your duties will include:
- Processing and validating supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Managing purchase orders and assisting with purchase order administration
- Processing goods receipts and resolving invoice matching issues
- Supporting accounts payable administration and payment processing activities
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity
- Assisting with finance-related enquiries and stakeholder correspondence
- Contributing to the smooth operation of daily finance processes within a busy team environment
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable,
Finance Administration or a similar transactional finance role
- Strong invoice processing and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Experience working in high-volume processing environments
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience using ERP or finance systems. SAP experience is advantageous but not essential
- Previous Queensland Government experience is desirable but not required
