We’ve Got You Foundation is a local charity supporting residents in the Hervey Bay and Maryborough region who cannot afford the cost of medical transport.
We help people access essential medical appointments and treatment when transport costs or limited transport options create a barrier to receiving the care they need.
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and community-minded volunteer to join our team and help us raise funds and spread awareness of the support we provide.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding volunteer position assisting with:
General administration and office support
Fundraising activities and campaigns
Local markets and community stalls
Setting up and packing down fundraising stalls
Speaking with members of the community about our charity
Merchandise and fundraising sales
Grant research and administration
Social media and promotional activities
Data entry and record keeping
Community events and activities
Your contribution will help us raise funds so that local residents who are struggling financially can access medical transport when they need it.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Is reliable, friendly and approachable
Enjoys meeting and talking with people
Has valuable communication and organisational skills
Is comfortable using a computer
Enjoys being involved in the local community
Is happy to attend markets, stalls and fundraising events
Can work independently and as part of a small team
- Has previous administration, fundraising, retail or community experience —
- although this is not essential\
Hours &
- Location
Up to 15 hours per week maximum, with flexible hours arranged around the volunteer's availability and our community activities.
Activities will be throughout the Hervey Bay and Maryborough region, including local markets, fundraising stalls and community events.
Centrelink – Over 55 Volunteering
We’ve Got You Foundation is registered to support approved volunteering for people aged 55 who are meeting their Centrelink mutual-obligation requirements through voluntary work.
Eligible participants may be able to continue receiving their Centrelink payment while undertaking approved voluntary work, subject to Centrelink approval and the individual's eligibility and requirements.
This is an unpaid volunteer position. The volunteer does not receive wages from We’ve Got You Foundation. Centrelink payments are administered by Services Australia.
