Key Responsibilities

- Greet and seat customers, take orders, and provide friendly, attentive table service

- Prepare and serve food and beverages, including basic food prep and plating

- Operate the POS system and handle cash/card transactions

- Assist in the kitchen with prep, dishwashing, and basic cooking tasks during busy periods

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the dining room, kitchen, and bar areas

- Restock supplies, set up and close down the restaurant for service

- Support bar service (pouring drinks, coffee, etc.) if required

- Handle customer questions, requests, and minor complaints with professionalism

- Work collaboratively with kitchen and floor staff to ensure smooth service

- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures

Required Skills and Experience





- Minimum 6 months of previous hospitality experience preferred (café, restaurant, or bar)

- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure

- Solid communication and customer service skills

- Willingness to learn and help wherever needed

- Basic food handling skills

- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate or willingness to obtain

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Preferred Skills

- Barista experience

- Bar experience

- Wine knowledge

Pay: $32.18 – $33.05 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
