In 2025 the Morningside facility was fully redesigned and refitted, with every workstation, storage area and production line laid out to keep the floor clear and make the job easier from day one.

About the Role

If you're sick of labour hire, project-to-project work or doing the same task all day, this is steady, permanent work with plenty of variety.

Brisbane Aluminium is hiring a permanent, day shift Fabricator / Assembler for the Morningside production team, with stable Monday to Friday hours, 6:00am to 3:00pm. You'll cut, fabricate and assemble aluminium frames, doors, windows and partition systems for commercial projects across Brisbane. One day it's a run of frames, the next it's partition systems for a new office fit-out. You'll work from drawings and cut lists, and you'll see the finished product go out the door to real projects.

The role is open to qualified tradespeople and to people without a trade. Pay is based on experience, and training builds from wherever you're starting.

It's a relaxed, friendly floor with high standards on the product, and the team helps each other get it right.

Duties

- Cut, fabricate and assemble aluminium frames, doors, windows and partition components
- Read and work from technical drawings and cut lists
- Measure accurately and use hand and power tools safely
- Check your own work against quality standards before it moves on
- Prepare and stage finished products for dispatch




- Pitch in across the production floor where the team needs you

Skills & Experience You'll be a good fit if you:

- Have hands-on experience in fabrication, assembly, joinery, glazing, shopfitting, steel fabrication, trade assisting or similar production work
- Are confident with hand and power tools, on aluminium or other materials
- Measure accurately and can read basic drawings, or are keen to learn
- Take pride in a clean, square, finished product
- Bring a safety-first approach and a positive attitude
- Are comfortable lifting up to 25kg and working on your feet
- Show up consistently, the team relies on each other

New to aluminium? That's fine. If you've worked with your hands on a production line or in a trade, the fundamentals transfer and you'll be trained on the rest. A forklift licence is a bonus, not a requirement.
