Role Description This full-time, on-site Apprentice Electrician / Fire Protection Technician role is based in the Greater Sydney Area. The role involves assisting with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and fire protection equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Daily tasks include supporting qualified technicians with cabling, wiring, testing, and inspections, as well as learning to interpret technical drawings and follow safety procedures.

The apprentice will help troubleshoot basic electrical and fire protection issues under supervision, maintain tools and materials, and ensure work areas remain safe and organized. The role also includes ongoing training,



adherence to industry standards, and collaboration with team members and site personnel.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation or interest in practical Electricity and Electrical Work, with willingness to learn and follow technical instructions.
- Ability to assist with Maintenance & Repair tasks, including routine checks, basic servicing, and protected use of hand and power tools.
- Developing Troubleshooting skills to help identify and report faults in electrical and fire protection systems.
- Basic understanding or coursework in Electrical Engineering concepts beneficial for interpreting diagrams, specifications, and standards.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, including adherence to PPE requirements and safe work practices.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a diverse technical team.
- Completion or progression towards relevant trade qualifications, apprenticeships, or certifications in electrical or fire protection disciplines is an advantage.
- Current driver’s license and ability to travel to various sites within the Greater Sydney Area preferred.
