An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join the ANZ finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing the full invoice cycle: checking, coding and routing for approval, then passing to the global payables team for payment
- Manage the shared finance inbox and act as the first point of contact for supplier and internal queries
- Handle refunds, customer payments and supplier onboarding, and administer the expense management platform
- Work with HR to process payroll on a fortnightly pays,



then complete the reconciliations and journals
- Prepare month-end reports and checklists, balance sheet reconciliations and variance commentary
- Build the weekly cashflow forecast, review daily bank activity and process manual payments and fund transfers
- Help the Finance Manager with statutory and tax lodgements for Australia and New Zealand
- Prepare schedules and reports for the brand and FP&A; teams, and support finance projects as needed

To be considered for this role, you will have 3–4 years of accounting experience in a similar-sized company. You'll hold a degree in Accounting or Finance and be studying, or planning to study, CPA or CA. You're strong in Excel, you notice the detail others miss and you're confident raising issues early and suggesting fixes. You thrive when deadlines stack up, work well with minimal supervision and enjoy building relationships with people across the business.
