The EL1 in the Property Services Team, is responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of property and facilities management, strategic lease management, lease negotiations, contract management, capital works, reporting and accommodation support across the department's National property portfolio.

The role provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, governance, compliance, asset management, strategic accommodation support and stakeholder engagement to ensure property and facilities services are delivered efficiently, safely and in accordance with legislative, contractual and organisational requirements.

The key duties of the position include:

- lead the delivery of property and facilities management services across the department’s national property portfolio, ensuring services are safe, compliant, effective and aligned with organisational requirements
- oversee building maintenance, asset management, preventative maintenance programs, inspections and property-related service delivery across departmental sites
- lead strategic lease management activities, including lease negotiations, lease term reviews, occupancy planning and engagement with landlords and service providers to support value-for-money outcomes
- manage major fit-out, refurbishment, capital works and decommissioning activities,



coordinating briefing requirements and engagement with relevant corporate areas
- contribute to the management of property-related contracts, including facilities management, procurement support, finance and reporting, and capital management components
- develop and maintain productive relationships with contractors, landlords, building managers, state managers, service providers and internal stakeholders
- provide team leadership by establishing priorities, managing workloads, supporting staff development, recruitment, performance management and workforce planning activities
- support accommodation planning, workplace strategies, operational risk management, building safety initiatives, and energy management and sustainability outcomes across the property portfolio.
