This is a full time, ongoing position commencing Term 1 2027.

Reporting to the Head of Primary, the Assistant Head of Primary is a member of the College Leadership Team. The role of Assistant Head of Primary involves overall responsibility for student management and pastoral programs in Early Childhood (Pre-Kindergarten to Year 2).

The Assistant Head of Primary also works closely with the Head of Primary and Assistant Head of Primary (Years 3-6) to support them in their roles. A focus for this position is to further strengthen our approach to improving student outcomes in the Early Years.

We Are Seeking Someone That

- Has extensive experience teaching in the Early Years.
- Has a willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the St Mary MacKillop College community.
- Possesses, or is in the process of acquiring,



Accreditation to Lead.
- Holds current Teachers Registration, Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Wholeheartedly embraces the culture and the vision of the College.
- Possesses excellent leadership and organisational skills, coupled with previous experience in a leadership position is highly desirable.
- Has a strong commitment to student wellbeing and the holistic development of young children.
- Will lead and mentor staff, supporting skilled growth.
- Has a positive, compassionate nature with highly effective written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills and will communicate regularly with parents to strengthen the partnership between school and home.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all aspects of College students, staff, procedures and practices.
