Xavier College is seeking an experienced and strategic educational leader for the position of Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning to join our vibrant Two Wells Campus (R–11, expanding to Year 12 in 2027). This key leadership position (POR4) is responsible for leading excellence in teaching and learning across the campus, driving continuous improvement in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and professional learning to support improved student outcomes.

This fixed-term appointment is available for a period of 4 years, commencing January 2027. This position includes a permanent full-time teaching position.

Working closely with the Campus Principal and Campus Leadership Team, this is an exciting opportunity to lead school improvement initiatives, strengthen teaching and learning practices, build staff capability and support improved outcomes for students across Years 7-12.

This position involves a teaching component and should be read in conjunction with the Teacher Position Information Document.

As the Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning, you will:

- Lead the implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment practices across Years 7-12
- Provide leadership and support to House Directors, Curriculum Leaders and teaching staff to foster excellence in teaching and learning
- Lead professional learning initiatives that build staff capability and align with College priorities, strategic goals and contemporary educational practice
- Utilise student achievement, engagement and pathway data to inform decision-making and drive improved educational outcomes
- Oversee key curriculum, assessment and reporting processes, including SACE, NAPLAN, PAT and other external requirements




- Lead the effective implementation and ongoing development of the College Learning Management System (SEQTA), supporting staff through professional learning and best practice
- Collaborate with campus and cross-campus leaders to promote consistency, innovation and continuous improvement in teaching and learning
