- Full-time temporary, Clerk Grade 11/12 ($154,231 - $178,369 per annum) opportunity up to 22 July 2027, based in Martin Place, with flexible working options available.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Associate Director to join the Evidence, Performance and Evaluation team on a temporary basis until 22 July 2027. This vacancy has arisen as the ongoing role holder is currently on secondment.
In this role, you will utilise data, evidence and evaluations that shape policy, program design and government decision-making. Working at the intersection of evidence and policy, you will oversee significant evaluation projects, provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders and help drive a stronger culture of evidence-based decision-making across government.
You will join the Evidence, Performance and Evaluation team within Women NSW, part of the Justice and Community Security Branch in Social Policy and Intergovernmental Relations Group. The team delivers high-quality evaluations, strengthens evaluation capability across government and supports better policy and program outcomes through robust evidence and analysis.

We're Looking For
- Program Evaluation and Evidence Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading complex evaluations of government programs, policies or initiatives,
including designing evaluation frameworks, developing methodologies and translating findings into practical recommendations that inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
- Strategic Policy and Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyse complex issues, interpret quantitative and qualitative evidence, identify trends and risks, and provide explicit, evidence-based advice to support policy development, program design and investment decisions.
- Project and Team Leadership: Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple concurrent projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to organisational priorities.
- Communication and Advisory Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear, concise and accessible way for a range of audiences, including executives and senior decision-makers.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Influence: Proven ability to build productive relationships with senior executives, policy teams and external stakeholders, influencing outcomes and promoting the use of evaluation and evidence to strengthen policy and program delivery.
