Three Independent Member Vacancies

Central Darling Shire Council invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced people for appointment as independent members of Council’s Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC).

The ARIC provides independent assurance and advice to Council on governance, risk management, internal control, compliance, financial management, internal audit and organisational improvement.

Who should apply?

Applicants should demonstrate substantial experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Audit and assurance
- Risk management and internal control
- Accounting, finance or financial reporting
- Corporate governance and ethics
- Legal or regulatory compliance
- Public administration or NSW local government
- Strategic leadership and organisational improvement
- Regional, rural or remote service delivery

Appointment details

- Vacancies - Three independent member positions

- Term - 4 years Meetings Quarterly online

- Remuneration - $500 + Super per meeting





- Commencement - March 2027

- A statement addressing relevant skills, experience and independence.
