About the Opportunity

Q Automotive is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team in Sunbury, Victoria.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the dealership's finance and accounting functions. This position offers a broad range of responsibilities and exposure to all areas of dealership accounting.

Key responsibilities include

- Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting
- Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Maintaining fixed asset registers
- Preparing and analysing financial reports
- Supporting internal audits and process improvements
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial data management

Previous automotive industry experience will be highly regarded, but isn't essential. We're also interested in candidates with strong administration, accounts or bookkeeping experience who are keen to develop their career within the automotive industry. What We're Looking For

Required

- Degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing
- Positive Excel skills and general computer literacy
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full time working rights

Highly Regarded:
- Previous experience in an automotive dealership or retail business
- Understanding of dealership finance operations and vehicle sales administration
- Experience working with multi-entity or fast-paced business environments
