Role Description The Automotive Electrician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Melbourne Area, working on electrical systems in road tankers, trailers, aviation refuelers, and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing electrical faults, performing repairs and maintenance on wiring, control systems, lighting, and safety circuits, and ensuring all work meets relevant standards and regulations.

The role involves inspecting and testing electrical components on pumps, meters, hose reels, and loading/unloading equipment,



as well as supporting mechanical and fabrication teams where electrical integration is required.

The Automotive

Electrician will document work performed, maintain service records, and communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate repairs and upgrades. The position requires a solid focus on safety, quality, and timely completion of work in a workshop and yard environment.

Qualifications

- Strong electrical maintenance and electrical repairs skills for automotive and industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in fault finding and diagnostic work on complex electrical systems.
- Experience in maintenance & repair activities for vehicles, trailers, and pumping systems.
- Solid understanding of electricity principles, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship as an Automotive Electrician or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and service documentation.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and safe handling of tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Previous experience with tankers, refueling equipment, or heavy vehicles is highly regarded.
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility to work on-site in the Greater Melbourne Area.
