The Banking & Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for coordinating and processing Zoos Victoria's accounts receivable, banking and cash transactions accurately and efficiently. The role undertakes a range of activities including raising invoices and monitoring collections, daily banking and cash receipting, bank reconciliations, processing revenue data from source systems and supporting month-end processes. You will monitor financial transactions and system interfaces, investigate and resolve discrepancies, work with internal stakeholders to address issues, and maintain accurate records to support financial controls and audit requirements.

The role also contributes to continuous improvement across accounts receivable and banking processes and supports consistent ways of working across the broader Finance team.

We are looking for someone who brings:

- Experience in accounts receivable, banking or transactional finance administration, supported by a relevant qualification in accounting, finance, business or equivalent practical experience.




- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately process and reconcile financial transactions, investigate discrepancies and maintain high-quality financial records.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow established financial processes, controls and procedures.
- A confident systems and data mindset, with experience working with financial systems and an interest in improving processes, accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a practical, responsive and cooperative approach to working with internal stakeholders and Finance colleagues.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Business Central, banking and reconciliation processes, or working within government or another complex organisation will be highly regarded.
