We’re looking for our next Banana Farmer to join our Plantation team at arguably one of the most famous banana plantations in Australia!

If you’re hardworking, reliable, have a positive attitude and enjoy a physically demanding, hands-on role, this could be the job for you.

The Big Banana was built in 1964 as Australia’s first ‘Big Thing’ and has since grown into an iconic Fun Park with rides and attractions for all ages. But behind the famous landmark, we remain a fully operational banana plantation, just as we have been since the very beginning.

Working alongside our Plantation team, you’ll assist with the day-to-day operations of the plantation and packing shed, getting involved in the many hands-on tasks that go into growing, maintaining and harvesting our bananas.

This is a practical, physical role and would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors, isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and takes pride in a good day’s work.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

- Is hardworking, reliable and brings a positive attitude to work
- Is comfortable carrying loads and working across uneven and rugged terrain
- Enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Is self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a small team
- Is willing to learn and take direction from our Plantation Manager




- Has a strong awareness of workplace safety and follows safe work practices
- Has previous farming, horticultural or agricultural experience – highly regarded, but not essential

Availability This is a casual position offering approximately 25 hours per week, with work predominantly undertaken on weekdays.
