About the role

Two Foreshore Cafe is seeking a Barista / Café All-Rounder to join our team in Geraldton, WA. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a vibrant café culture. In this role, you will be the face of our café, delivering exceptional customer service whilst crafting quality beverages and preparing food items. This position is integral to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring our guests have a memorable experience every time they visit.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving espresso-based coffee drinks, teas, and other hot and cold beverages to a high standard

- Operating espresso machines and other café equipment with confidence and care

- Taking customer orders accurately and processing payments via point-of-sale systems

- Preparing light food items, snacks, and pastries in accordance with food safety standards

- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café, including the espresso bar and customer areas

- Restocking supplies and managing inventory of coffee beans, cups, napkins, and other consumables

- Providing friendly and efficient customer service, addressing customer inquiries and special requests

- Working collaboratively with other team members during peak and quiet periods

- Following all café procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a barista or in a café setting, or demonstrable enthusiasm to learn

- Ability to prepare quality espresso-based coffees and other beverages consistently

- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour





- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail

- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one

- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling for casual work

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle basic manual tasks

- Barista certification or accreditation is advantageous but not essential
