We are seeking an experienced Beauty Therapist (Nail Technician) to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in professional nail services, including manicures, pedicures, BIAB, structured gel, gel polish, artificial nail enhancements, nail extensions, nail repairs and nail art.

About the Role The successful applicant will consult with clients to determine their nail care requirements, assess the condition of their nails, recommend appropriate treatments and provide professional nail services in accordance with salon standards.

The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, knowledge of nail health and hygiene, and the ability to consistently provide a high standard of professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Consult with clients regarding their nail condition, preferred styles, treatment requirements and desired results.
- Examine and assess clients' fingernails and toenails and recommend appropriate nail care treatments.
- Provide professional manicures and pedicures.
- Clean, trim, shape, buff and polish fingernails and toenails.
- Prepare natural nails and provide appropriate cuticle care.
- Apply BIAB and structured gel manicures.
- Apply and safely remove gel polish.
- Apply, maintain, repair and remove artificial nail enhancements, including gel, acrylic and Gel-X systems.
- Perform nail extensions, infills and nail repairs.
- Create nail art and apply decorative finishes, including rhinestones and other nail decorations.
- Provide hand and foot treatments and massage associated with manicure and pedicure services.




- Assess natural nail condition and provide appropriate advice regarding nail care, products and aftercare.
- Explain treatment procedures and recommend suitable salon services and products.
- Maintain professional standards of hygiene, sanitation and infection control throughout all treatments.
- Clean, disinfect and sanitise tools, equipment and workstations before and after client services.
- Follow salon workplace health and safety and infection-control procedures.
- Maintain accurate client service and treatment records where required.
- Assist with client appointments, bookings and telephone enquiries when required.
- Monitor nail and salon product supplies and assist with stock control and ordering.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and professional presentation of treatment areas and the salon.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and provide a high standard of professional customer service.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of the salon team.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate:
- At least two years of relevant experience as a Nail Technician, Beauty Therapist or in a closely related role is preferred.
- Demonstrated practical experience providing professional manicure and pedicure services.
- Demonstrated experience with BIAB and structured gel applications.
- Practical experience with gel polish, gel extensions, Gel-X and other artificial nail enhancement systems.
- Experience performing nail extensions, infills, repairs and removal services.
- Demonstrated ability to perform professional nail preparation and cuticle care.




- Experience creating nail art and applying decorative nail finishes.
- Sound knowledge of natural nail health, nail preparation and appropriate aftercare.
- Knowledge of salon hygiene, sanitation, infection control and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality nail services.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients.
- Professional presentation and a reliable approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional salon team.
- Ability to manage client appointments efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service.

A relevant Certificate III qualification in Nail Technology, Beauty Therapy or an equivalent qualification is desirable. Additional training or demonstrated competency in e-file techniques, advanced nail technology, artificial nail systems or advanced nail art will be highly regarded.
