Hunter New England Clinical Technology is responsible for the management of cutting-edge health technology across Hunter New England Local Health District, including a range of medical device systems integrated with EPIC-SDPR across rural, regional and metropolitan facilities.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Officer – Digital & Integration to join our team and play a key role in supporting the technology that connects clinical systems, medical devices and healthcare professionals.

About The Role

As the Senior Technical Officer – Digital & Integration, you will play a key role in implementing digital health initiatives, resolving complex technical issues and supporting the lifecycle management of connected clinical technologies across the District.

Working at the intersection of medical technology, digital health, ICT and clinical care, you will help ensure connected clinical technologies remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose.

You are a technically minded problem solver who enjoys working in complex environments where technology directly supports patient care.

You Will Bring

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly within complex technical environments.
- An understanding of how medical devices, networks, clinical systems and workflows interact.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to cybersecurity, risk management and technical issues.
- The ability to collaborate with clinicians, ICT professionals, vendors and specialist technical teams.

Requirements

- Qualification equivalent to AQF IV such as certificate IV in Biomedical engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications.
- Demonstrated experience supporting medical devices, digital systems, ICT infrastructure or clinical technologies.
- Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability to travel across HNE facilities as required.
