Steelstruct Engineering is seeking trade-qualified Boilermakers to join a project team on a fixed-term contract, commencing 5 October 2026.

Steelstruct Engineering is a privately owned, highly regarded Western Australian company providing steel fabrication, hardfacing and precision machining services to Australia's mining and resource markets. We manufacture from our modern, fully equipped workshops strategically located in Henderson (WA) and Rayong (Thailand).
About the Role
This fixed-term contract will run for approximately 2 months, commencing 5 October 2026, and is based at a project site in Kwinana, WA. The role is well suited to experienced Boilermakers looking for consistent project work over the contract period.
You will be required to hold a current, valid Stick (MMAW) welding ticket, as a weld test will be conducted as part of the selection process. A strong, practical trade background and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a busy project environment are essential.
Pay & Conditions
- Competitive hourly rate plus applicable overtime penalties
- Fixed-term contract of approximately 2 months
- Site-based project in Kwinana, WA
- Local DIDO role – home each night
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 10 hours per day
- Friday: 6 hours
- Additional hours may be required depending on project requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate with a minimum of 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience in an engineering workshop or project environment
- Current Confined Space Entry ticket – essential
- Current Working at Heights ticket – essential
- Stick (MMAW) welding experience – essential; a weld test will be conducted
- Australian work rights
- Own transport and current WA driver's licence
- Must supply own standard Boilermaker tool kit; all other required tools will be provided on site
- Completion of required online and site inductions prior to commencement
- Competent in reading, understanding and interpreting engineering and shop detail drawings
- Solid attention to detail and ability to produce quality work in line with project requirements
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to pass regular/random drug and alcohol screening
- Must comply with all company and site Quality and Safety systems and processes
